We have been using this crib for 2 months now with our 10 month old It s very sturdy and attractive and unbeatable for the price I would recommend it to anyone who is tight on space However for those parents concerned about the potential hazards of off gassing particleboard phthalates and brominated fire retardants you should know that the platform on which the mattress rests is made of MDF medium density fiberboard which off gases urea formaldehyde for the life of the product Easy to fix with a couple of pine boards from a hardware store Also the mattress they provide is not great if you re concerned about these things it s foam wrapped in vinyl almost certainly loaded with phthalates and fire retardants If you re looking for an excellent organic mattress that fits this crib perfectly check out the Naturepedic Organic Cotton Portacrib Mattress

This crib has been great so far My daughter is 6 months old 21 inches long and fits just fine Some people warned me that a mini crib would only last for so long but I think their concerns were unfounded A little baby only needs so much room And our little baby is on the bigger/longer side Normal sized cribs are huge Plus this one converts into a single bed not a full sized bed This is a plus for me A full sized bed just seems like overkill for a child

This turned out to be a beautiful crib I like the stylish clean lines and the color we bought white It served our purpose very well as we had a very small space in which to keep a crib It came with a thin mattress though we also bought a 3 mattress to go in it instead The crib could be easily moved through doorways as it is narrow enough and light enough The wood is pine as are all cribs by this maker so it does dent relatively easily I did end up buying a teething product for the rails as when my baby grew teeth she left teeth marks in the rail When researching a mini crib I was unsure of how long my baby would be able to fit in it At 13 months we bought a regular size crib for her She had just a little room left in the length and she often clunked her head on the sides when rolling around Luckily we have the room now for a regular size crib Overall this crib has been a fantastic purchase

We bought this crib one month ago and I am really happy It was easy to assemble even if the instructions were not very clear My baby is 2 months old so we put the matress on the highest position and it s just the perfect height so that she will not be able to climb out at least for another couple of months but also so I do not have to lean over much to put her in Later on we ll just adjust the height The crib looks beautiful and will match any decoration you have We just bought a mobile for it and it fitted perfectly on the rail The wheels are a good feature but I do not think that we will be moving it much around because the crib is too wide to fit through her bedroom door so make sure that you assemble it inside whatever room you want to have it in unless you have wider doors than us The material looks sturdy so I really hope that it will last for a long time

No problem with packaging like some reviewers commented Box arrived in great shape crib inside was also in good shape some scuffing but only on the side that sits against the wall so not a problem for me I didn t have any problem with the directions or assembly Very straightforward Wouldn t have taken very long to put up but my two year old was helping Drop rail slides great and is very convenient Mattress at highest setting is a good height thought I wouldn t mind it being a bit higher I ordered the pine which to me is a very light color this is more of a maple in my opinion

My husband builds furniture as a hobby and he was really impressed with how well this crib is built We previously owned a Storkcraft crib and the difference between the two was substantial The wood is a bit more reddish and dark than it appears in the picture more like you would imagine cherry I guess Ours arrived in perfect condition and we didn t even need the instructions to assemble it

The crib made it here faster than expected and was really easy to put together The last few steps did take two of us to do kind of awkward The espresso was a nice dark finish We also bought a dresser from a furniture store in an espresso finish and it matched perfectly Trying to find a stain color for baby s book shelf is difficult though and we cannot find the right shade at the hardware store We did notice a few spots where the wood was dented prior to being stained We thought at first that it must be from shipping but there was no cracks at all in the finish so it must have been before hand Overall the crib seems really sturdy and the bottom is easy to adjust We can t wait for baby to get here and try it out
