Adorable crib for my visiting granddaughter but it s difficult to put together the barrel bolts in the illustration don t go in all of the spots indicated at those points the bolts are acting as wood screws not a good idea IMHO and are nearly impossible to line up in the slots that are there The instructions for this bit are direct quote Fitting fix side by screws and bolts The illustration indicates that the crib is upright with the latches secured while the bolts to in which is impossible to do it s difficult but possible if the crib is folded flat

I echo reviews regarding the appearance of the crib however there are several concerns that I have First when I received the crib I had to drill a couple holes that had been missed by the manufacturer Second the paint chips VERY easily Blankets being placed repeatedly over the wood have the power to chip this fragile paint The crib looked very used after a couple months and our baby hadn t even been born yet

More worrisome aspects of crib include a mattress that doesn t fit right two inch gap once the crib has been lowered to the lowest setting and the drop side components look awfully similar to those on other cribs that have been recently recalled I m seriously considering purchasing a pack n play as a cheaper solution to a replacement crib so that I can rest better at night

We purchased this crib in September 2009 The first headboard the solid piece along the back top had a huge dent in it So we contacted LaJobi and they shipped us a new one The second one came scratched with a bad paint job We contacted them again and received a third headboard which was cut wrong and wouldn t fit unless we took a dremel to it which would void your warranty So we contacted them AGAIN By this point we were already in the hospital and had delivered our son DECEMBER They shipped us a new headboard The fourth one didn t fit once again At this we contacted them a final time They told us a new whole crib would be shipped to us and would be to us by Dec 19th which was when we were to be released from the hospital Finally the second week of January we contacted Graco as we hadn t had a resolution or a crib They told us there was unfortunately nothing they could do as they didn t manufacture the crib But they would pass on the info to the complaint department So we took the crib to Target who ended up over a 9 day period contacting several people until Graco customer service decided to send us a new crib NOT manufactured by LaJobi The way it sounds we are not the first only or the last to have issues with LaJobi
Word to the wise if you buy a crib Graco is normally great but watch who the manufacturer is LaJobi is the one to avoid

The crib we received was another Graco Lauren We decided to open it and check it because we d grown tired of waiting The side rail on the new crib had a split part and was splintering After fighting with LaJobi they agreed to take back both cribs and all the headboards on their dime They plan on issuing us a refund which they claim will be here in 4 6 weeks just in time for us to have a crib when our son turns 4 MONTHS OLD All in all horrible experience Not everything Graco puts out is manufactured by LaJobi but with everything we ve gone through plus all the recalls they ve had we don t plan on investing any more money in the company

I bought this crib 2 days ago and its a good quality portable crib which I think is suitable for any buyer who does not have too much space the only drawback of this is the description says it comes with its own mattress where thickness of the mattress is not mentioned and what we got is a mattress pad which is 1 ONE inch thick covered in plastic sheet

I would recommend this but do not think there is a mattress person will have to buy a seperate mattress as no one wants to put a small baby on a finger tip thick mattress 1 inch

We needed a small crib for a small space and so happy I found it here This crib fits perfectly in an odd corner of our room It was easy to put together and very sturdy The mattress was purchased separately DaVinci Crescent 50 Coil Mini Crib Mattress which is about 5 thick When I opened the box it stated not to exceed a mattress over 3 I called Nursery Smart and was told the reason why was because the crib is already short as it is and once the baby can stand on it s own he could fall over We tested the mattress and it fit perfectly with no spaces or gaps on the sides We set it to the lowest setting and found the height not to be a problem Our son will move on to a toddler bed by that time

We are very happy with our purchase and the service and care we received over the phone The only cons about it all is the screws are very visible on the front side They look very industrial on a smooth curvy and elegant surface I wouldn t mind using nubs that you can push into the holes to cover the screws and we found that it scratches easily but not to much of a big deal

This crib has been great so far My daughter is 6 months old 21 inches long and fits just fine Some people warned me that a mini crib would only last for so long but I think their concerns were unfounded A little baby only needs so much room And our little baby is on the bigger/longer side Normal sized cribs are huge Plus this one converts into a single bed not a full sized bed This is a plus for me A full sized bed just seems like overkill for a child

I was debating on a few different cribs but was so pleased that we decide on this one The color is so pretty the chocolate is more obvious in person It looks black in the picture but is beautiful in person Directions are very hard to follow The illustrations are not very detialed and very little text to follow We had to take a few things apart and reassemble due to instruction problems One of the pieces of the canopy came damaged by the manufacturer a hole was drilled too far and cracked the wood We were able to order the part from the manf on the website and are now waiting for the part The over all appereance of the crib however is very beautiful It looks high quality and the wood is very sturdy I have no regrets

It takes some time to assemble I love assembling my own furniture and have done so numerous times so this project took about 2 hrs to do by myself the husband was sleeping on the couch the entire time The worst part about it is the instruction booklet can be a little confusing and none of the parts came labelled However once the crib was put together it was a beautiful sturdy piece of furniture that was still lightweight enough for me to move around We got the Serta Perfect Dream mattress to go in it and it fits perfectly although I think it may be a tad larger than what the maximum recommended height for the crib is All in all a fantastic buy

This is our second crib and drawer set from Westwood studios When my son was born in 2008 we bought a Hart Meadwodale setWestwood Design/Hart Meadowdale Convertible Crib Brown Chestnut from BabyDepot in a local Burlington Coat Factory I wish I had known that Amazon carried it Burlington had to deliver it 3 times because their shipping kept destroying them They always blamed the fact that they are made overseas as to why they were beat to he The shipment from amazon came with NO shipping damage and a friendly delivery man We loved the design and engineering of the set I was impressed with the actual dovetail joinery on the dresser Even on higher end furniture I m seeing less and less care in the product design When we moved I accidentally threw away the springboard This is how I learned that Hart Furniture is a subsidiary of Westwood Design Studio When I called to order a new springboard the phone was answered Westwood Design When I explained to the operator what I had done they told me that they had the part in their warehouse and could send it to me Fed Ex so I could get my kid back in his bed She then asked if there was anything else that I needed and I prepared to find out what kind of damage my mistake was about to make on my wallet To my total shock she said there was no charge and they would just send it 2 days later it was on the doorstep It s amazing how a little customer service goes a long way A 20 part and they sold themselves another 1400 crib/drawer set Enough with my rave on the manufacturer

The Saffron set we bought was designed well including the dovetailed drawers The assembly is pretty simply and comes with the tools required It s quite heavy have a helper ready if you need to move it any distance The hand carved detail work looks great The only complaints we have are that 1 there was a slight knick in the dresser This was not from shipping It was in the board before they painted it 2 It was painted after it was assembled and I can see the timber in one of the seams If you aren t looking you don t know it s there though I still give this set 5 stars and would easily purchase it again from Amazon

I bought this crib in white through Overstock com because it was quite a bit less than anyone else I bought for 272 less than a month ago Feb 2010 then it went on sale two weeks after I bought it and I called Overstock and they gave me the 60 00 difference in the new sale price toward more store credit with Overstock Fine with me that it was in store credit and not refunded to my card because I have more I will buy from them and had a great purchase experience with them I also have had great past experiences with Amazon as well and in fact today just ordered my bed rails through Amazon because that is where I found the best price I just can not say enough good things about this crib It is so much better than I ever expected I could not have found a better crib at a better price I am very pleased with the quality and beauty of this crib I looked for over two months for a crib I have seen every crib there is and of course there are much more expensive and beautiful cribs out there but if you are trying to stay within a budget particularly under 300 I can tell you stop looking this is what you are looking for It has NO hardware exposed after assembly very easy to put together took my husband an hour very aesthetically appealing and the quality will not disappoint you It does chip IF you scratch it which I learned the first night we had it put together because I tried to put some plastic links over the rail and forced them on and it scratched the paint nothing a little touch up won t fix and from all the reviews on cribs I have read that is common with most just be careful and GET A TEETHING RAIL or your baby will be eating paint I bought this crib without a review to read searched on line every where for a review good or bad and could not find one I was a little worried about what I was ordering since I could not find a review When the crib arrived less than a week after I ordered it I could not have been happier and all my worries disappeared So I hope my review will help others searching for the perfect crib Also this is a stationary crib no drop sides and I could not find anything on the Internet not even on the Bassett Baby site that told me that which is what I wanted and once my husband had it put together I found out it was stationary so I got lucky with that as well This crib ships in original packaging and I can tell you it is packed WELL I did not have one scratch on mine It arrived in mint condition I have read lots of reviews of cribs arriving damaged Bassett makes beautiful furniture This crib is sturdy and beautiful and I absolutely love it Also I purchased the Colgate Supreme mattress newborn firmness on one side toddler firmness on the other and the Wee a way mattress pad by Colgate and ordered my bedding through Land of Nod Puzzle Patch set It s so beautiful with this crib I bought my crib skirt through Amazon Pink Tulle three layer skirt It is gorgeous If you are concerned about the quality it is very nice and very beautiful So pretty I actually had to call to order from the Seattle store because it was sold out on line Also I found coupons on line for the mattress mattress pad and coupon for free shipping for my bedding If you just look you can find somewhere to save some money I am a first time mom and it took me quite a bit of time to put all of this together with out any knowledge of what to purchase and I did a LOT of research so I hope I can save you some time and tell you YOU WILL NOT REGRET THIS PURCHASE

We live in nyc and don t have a ton of space and mostly co sleep with our baby We didn t want to spend a bunch of money on a crib and mattress and this one has been perfect It is just enough space for the baby to sleep and move around a bit We stopped using it as just a crib a while ago took off one of the sides and strapped it to the side of the bed to give us all a little more space in the bed He still doesn t really sleep in the crib more on the edge of our bed but this way I know if he wakes up and I m still sound asleep he can t crawl off the bed or get into mischief

If your baby crawls around in their sleep a lot though like ours AND you plan on using it as an all night full time crib it might be a problem Our son flips over in his sleep and starts crawling and will often hit the side of the crib as he crawls into it Which makes him cry Since I m right there it is no big deal to flip him over and move him further down in the crib and comfort him But if I had to get up and do that I would be irritated

We needed a small crib for a small space and so happy I found it here This crib fits perfectly in an odd corner of our room It was easy to put together and very sturdy The mattress was purchased separately DaVinci Crescent 50 Coil Mini Crib Mattress which is about 5 thick When I opened the box it stated not to exceed a mattress over 3 I called Nursery Smart and was told the reason why was because the crib is already short as it is and once the baby can stand on it s own he could fall over We tested the mattress and it fit perfectly with no spaces or gaps on the sides We set it to the lowest setting and found the height not to be a problem Our son will move on to a toddler bed by that time

Although drop side cribs are pretty much taboo mu daughter is barely 5 ft tall and has a hard time putting her baby down without the drop side My grandson s first crib was recalled so I frantically looked for a replacement that would be as safe as possible without making life miserable for my daughter This Sorrelle crib was a great find They are not made any longer however the construction is incredible The channels for the drop sides are counter sunk in the frame therefore distortion of the plastic parts is pretty much impossible The pin that sets in place for the raised/lowered side is steel I feel this is as safe as a drop side crib can be Of course the baby is checked frequently and there is always a monitor/receivers in place anytime he is in bed Play time is in a play yard never in the crib

Changing the mattress height isn t too difficult but the wooden bars of the crib get in the way just a bit when trying to screw/unscrew to change the height

I spent a lot of time doing research and comparisons when I purchased this crib I m still happy with my choice as the cons listed are quite minor The biggest annoyance is probably the noisy drop side but I don t think I ve ever come across a silent drop side

My favorite thing about this crib is definitely the beauty of the design It truly looks like a well crafted piece of furniture I ve seen similar cribs with much higher price tags Most importantly I feel safe with this crib My son now almost a year old has been getting good use of it he even safely pulls himself up and stands in it without risk of tumbling out and over the top of course then he cries for me to come get him but that s not the crib s fault I was worried he d protest when we switched from our mini co sleeper to the crib at 5 mo s but we didn t have issues

Not a bad crib when the mattress is not on the bottom as the drop side parts can go up and down fairly easy But when the mattress is on the bottom it s extremely difficult to drop the rail Found that if you loosen the bottom bolts a little bit on the side where the drop side it it makes it easier to drop the rail You can t over tighten those bolts on the bottom or it is impossible to drop the rail

Crib has held up fairly well after being taken apart 2 times to be moved to different rooms

What a pain in the neck We picked it up locally I dragged it up the stairs to our condo and the first piece out of the box was broken in half even though the package was fine If only Delta had made this structural piece made out of balsa wood basically a little thicker it probably wouldn t have broken right on the screw hole The wood was only about 1/8 inch thick on either side of the screw hole so that s of course where it broke Aggravating that because they couldn t spend an extra dollar a crib to make the wood a little thicker I had to spend 4 hours schlepping it to and from the store Replaced it with a different crib that s sturdier

I purchased this crib last summer when we were expecting our daughter Her room is quite small and we did not have sufficient space for both a crib and a changing table at least not if we wanted anything else in the room This seemed like the perfect solution My husband and I have extremely high standards when it comes to furniture Our taste runs to modern design Cassina Minotti Molteni Flexform and we wanted a crib that fit in with our contemporary decor This crib had received rave reviews when it debuted at the design shows ICFF et al Nonetheless we were a bit concerned about ordering it sight unseen When it arrived we were amazed by the quality of both the materials and the craftmanship One does not usually find such quality in children s furnishings and believe me we had looked a great deal The assembly instructions were clear and concise and we assembled the crib with ease although it did take the two of us given the weight of the solid wood portions Assembled the crib is simply stunning Its lines are perfection and the contrast of the zebrawood against the white lacquer is magnificent Moreover it is an extremely solid indeed too solid for anyone who requires a crib that can be moved about a room this is a very very heavy crib and durable piece of furniture It is imminently practical for use in small spaces the two lower drawers provide ample storage space for spare crib bedding and changing pads while the shelves beneath the changing table hold extra diapers The design of the fold out changing table is simply brilliant first a locking mechanism prevents the table from being folded up while your child is on it Second behind the changing table is a well designed diaper caddy/organizer space which neatly organizes diapers creams and wipes into their own individual and perfectly sized sections so that they are all within reach during diaper changes The careful thought given to the design of this crib is evident in every detail It combines practicality quality construction and aesthetics Our grandchildren will be using this crib

Just like our Babee Tenda feeding table I love our Babee Tenda crib My husband and I purchased our Babee Tendee crib at one of their shows Unlike others that complained they were tricked into going to the show my husband and I assumed we would see something for sale When we went I saw how the crib worked and immediately liked it I am not a person who is all for the cutsie stuff I like what is practical and works and the Babee Tenda crib is just this There are three things I love about the crib 1 The door that opens on the front So helpful I can just sit by the crib and reach in and touch my baby I can already tell this will be most useful when transitioning to nap times and I can sit next to my little girl as she goes to sleep and easily help her make this adjustment Plus when she is older she can use the door herself with my help of course because the locking mechanism is totally secure 2 The drop sides I know I know drop sides are getting a bad rap these days but that is because the recalled drop side cribs are made with cheap plastic mechanisms The Babee Tenda crib comes with METAL mechanisms They are completely secure and Babee Tenda has NEVER had a recall I feel totally safe with the drop sides 3 The crib is versatile It has box springs just like a normal bed You can turn it into a toddler bed with a safety rail an older child s bed and even a day bed or small couch later It is expensive but well worth it Some people complain that it doesn t look pretty but I think that s not a good reason to not purchase this crib The simple design of this crib means that my mobile fit the crib easily I ve heard lots of people complain about toys not fitting their cribs but that s all because of cutsie design To find a good price on the crib you can always try e bay or even call Babee Tenda to find a retailer in your area The only possible drawback to me is the crib doesn t fit regular sheets You ll have to buy Babee Tenda s But that didn t bother me a bit I bought them with no problem Someone else mentioned customer service was not good I found customer service totally helpful when I called them No problems and a pleasant transaction

We bought one of these cribs at a baby show for around 700 where as online about 1 000 with shipping With shipping it ended up being about 300 cheaper than buying online sorry amazon It went through both our kids and we just sold it on ebay for 600 These cribs are very very well built Everything is bolted and steel framed Never any safety issues or breakage Best buy I ever made After selling it used it cost me about 100 for 10 years of use You can t get a better deal than that Great product

I purchased the dresser featured in this photo January 2009 This purchase was a mess from the outset
The dresser started to crack peel the sides pulled apart from the top and from each other it was a MESS The dresser came with papers for a one year warranty I contacted AFG and spoke to Daniel He seemed nice on the phone but repeatedly stated he couldn t do anything as the dresser was already in my possession and that I probably had cleaned it improperly I was very angry that he suggested I dare to clean the dresser so I told him so Then he said they did send some of their products out that were not completely dry or ready to be shipped I felt this was one of those products Daniel stated I would have to contact the seller as he was unable to honor the warranty So I contacted the seller of this dress and they worked with me but this process became a long drawn out affair of emails and phone calls Daniel even denied the one year warranty and then when the manager pressed him he remembered that AFG offered a warranty Eventually the merchant from whom I purchased this dresser gave me a measly 150 in return

Sadly I ve got this bum dresser on my hands I decided that for the time being I needed to alert people to AFG and their POOR POOR products and without questions POOR POOR service I would strongly advise looking around before purchasing AFG

Stokke Sleepi Mini/Crib System I w/ Mattresses I love this crib It s great for a small apartment and the crib is low enough to the ground that it converts easily to a toddler bed by just taking off the side panel so your child can safely go in and out when they are old enough It s a beautiful crib made of real wood in the netherlands NOT in china which was something I cared about It also fits through standard doorframes and we would roll the bassinet around the house when my son was small I just bought sheets on ebay and took a regular bumper and had it altered at the dry cleaner for 10 dollars so I had no trouble finding sheets or a bumper Don t buy the stokke sheets if you re trying to save money they aren t worth it at all

I can t say that I would buy this again it looks great but it has been a pain many times over First the company delivered the wrong part took a month to get fixed Then trying to read the picture only instructions no words at all was a very annoying experience If you want this crib take my advice and get just the regular crib without the bassinet parts My child outgrew the bassinet in 3 months and I could have saved a lot of money and just got a moses basket or used her stroller basinet The bedding is also very expensive luckily I found some discontinued bedding from Dwell on sale but anything from Stokke will be greatly overpriced I love the look of this crib but all the work involved has turned me off

As written in the title it was my worst online purchase experience We ordered this Stokke Sleepi System from Amazon and waited about 10 days I ve tracked shipping process online and it should ve arrived in 10 days as it stated However on the delivery date somehow the BabyAge original seller thru Amazon forced UPS to return the item without telling me why and I never received item At least they refunded the price I paid with my credit card But there was no explanation on this weird happening I wish Amazon carries items from more reliable sellers

i bought this crib from Babies R Us and it arrived in perfect condition i put it together easily and it looked great and was very stable however once i put the crib mattress in it there was always too much space between the mattress and the side of the crib especially in the corners according to the latest safety guidelines from the Consumer Product Safety Commission you should not be able to fit more than 1 finger between the mattress and crib at first i thought it was just the mattress i had but after trying 3 other mattresses serta colgate foam with square corners sealy i realized that the problem was the crib itself i did some research online and it sounds like some other folks have had the same problem but others have not so i guess it just depends on the exact crib you get it has been a pain to pack it back up and return it so if i had to do it again i would just have bought a more expensive crib to begin with like the bonavita our oldest little girl uses

I ordered this crib after doing a bit of research It came well packed and had only one tiny dent that didn t show after my husband put it together He kept raving about how great the directions were and how the whole thing came together with the help of only one allen wrench that came with it I am in love with the crib because it looks great and was half the price of the used cribs in the resale shops around here It s solid and sturdy and meets all the safety requirements not to mention it s convertible so we ll be able to use it for years to come I signed up for the Amazon Visa card at the same time and saved 40 so the crib cost me only 98 10 shipping
